2014 Semiannual Area Developer Conference

The semiannual Colors on Parade AD Conference took place last week in Oklahoma City and was a big success to say the least!

As always, the Colors on Parade family were very excited for the event. Area Developers from across the U.S. had a great time bonding and celebrating. As COP family members arrived in OKC, they were greeted by Area Developers Danny and Keitra Clark. The Clarks along with Terry and Debbie Prater hosted a fun filled cookout that included Mr. Prater’s nationally recognized steaks, Phil Grossman’s musical talents and passionate discussions about soccer, waterborne paint, coyotes, and tall tales from over 25 years of Colors on Parade experience.

The real work began early Thursday morning and included meetings with the Colors on Parade Franchise Advisory Committee (COPFAC) and the Marketing Fund Steering Committee. Conference Day One started with a welcome speech by CEO, Jeff Cox, followed by presentations on National Accounts, Relationships and LinkedIn, Successful Sales Tips, Branding, and Cause Marketing. Day One wrapped up with a trivia game and dinners along the OKC Bricktown Waterway. Following a long Day One, Day Two was much shorter with topics such as Policy Standards, Payment Options, COP Certification Program, and Fit Testing being discussed. In addition to presentation, Area Developers shared success stories, tips and concerns with one another regarding better growth for the entire COP system. The highlight of Day Two was seeing Jeff Cox practice Fit Testing on our very own Operations Officer, Brad Stalvey.

From meals to trivia contests, to the presentations and meetings, the conference proved yet again to be a perfect opportunity to interact with one another and grow relationships. Being just one of the many fun events that COP puts on, the AD conference showed how the COP system is a very close group that truly acts and treats each other as family. It is these types of events and relationships that make Colors on Parade a wonderful place to work and own a franchise.
